01.09.2008 Western Living magazine has announced Kroeker as their Furniture Designer of the Year for 2008. The judging panel includes an elite group of celebrated designers including Niels Bendtsen, Tobias Wong and Douglas Coupland.

05.05.2008 A group exhibit featuring Matthew Kroeker and some of Canada’s top designers will be featured this May during ICFF. The show titled “Wry & Ginger by Azure” features Kroeker’s Camila rocker and will be held at Design Within Reach’s Meatpacking District studio from May 16-22.

07.01.2008 Matthew Kroeker has been selected amongst some of Canada’s most talented designers, to participate in the exhibit titled "10 Innovative Designers" at the upcoming Interior Design Show in Toronto. The exhibit is sponsored by AZURE and Audi and curated by Rachel Gotlieb.

27.09.2007 Matthew showed up at Toronto's Design Exchange to take home a People's Choice Award and a Best of Canada Award for the Splinter chairs at the 10th annual ceremony. The winners were featured in Canadian Interiors July/August issue.

15.07.2007 The Splinter chairs have been included in a new book by Victionary titled [Art]ifact: Re-recognizing the Essential of Products. The 312 page hardcover book sports a 400 grit sandpaper jacket, and features noteworthy products by designers such including Tobias Wong, Maarten Baas, Jason Miller and Autoban. “It is about innovative product designs that dare to go beyond the conventionality and bring a total havoc to our perception.”

01.07.2007 As part of the Jane Hamley Wells collection, the Splinter chairs earned a Silver Award at NeoCon in Chicago, one of the world's largest trade fairs for contract furniture, facilities management and interior design.
